How The Invisalign Treatment Process Works

How The Invisalign Treatment Process Works

If you're looking for a discreet and convenient orthodontic treatment, Invisalign may be just what you're looking for! Here's more from our Delta dentist on how Invisalign can straighten your smile, without the hassle of metal braces.

If you don't want the hassle of metal braces, but you want an orthodontic treatment to discreetly straighten your smile, Invisalign may be the ideal for you.

Step 1 - Consultation

The first step on your way to a straighter smile is to book a consultation with your Delta dentist. During your consultation, the dentist will examine your teeth and determine whether Invisalign could be the right orthodontic treatment option to correct any misalignment issues you may have.

If you and your dentist decide that Invisalign is right for you, your dentist will show you what your smile could look like following treatment.

Step 2 - Receive your personalized treatment plan

In order to map out a custom treatment plan just for you, your dentist will take detailed scans and/or impressions of your teeth.

Step 3 - Customized aligners are made just for you

The scans and/or impressions of your teeth will then be sent off to Invisalign's advanced manufacturing facility where your clear custom aligners will be created.

Your custom Invisalign aligners will be made of a thin flexible plastic called called SmartTrack®. Invisalign aligners do not contain any gluten, BPA, BPS or latex.

Step 4 - Treatment is ready to begin

As soon as your aligners arrive at your dentist's office, your treatment is ready to get started.

When you visit your dentist to pick up your aligners you will be shown how to wear them correctly, have a review your treatment plan, and your dentist will check that your aligners are fitted correctly.

Also during your appointment, the dentist will let you know what to expect from your Invisalign treatment and answer any questions you may have.

Over the course of your Invisalign treatment, your dentist will monitor your progress and make sure that your treatment stays on track.

Step 5 - Live your life without interruptions

Unlike traditional metal braces, Invisalign's aligners are removable. That means that your orthodontic treatment will fit easily into your busy day-to-day routines.

Nothing can stop you now!

Your Invisalign aligners are almost invisible, so hardly anyone will notice that you are straightening your teeth. Get out there and have fun!
